SAFARI Montage Google Chrome™ Browser Extension Privacy Policy

The Google Chrome browser extension provided by SAFARI Montage (the “Extension”) is intended for use by authorized SAFARI Montage users (“Users”) that include educators, school administrators, students and parents. This Privacy Policy explains the type of information that the Extension accesses about a User when a User utilizes the Extension. If you have not reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction, a parent or legal guardian must read this Privacy Policy. If you, or your parent/guardian on your behalf, do not want to be bound by this Privacy Policy, please do not download, access or use any SAFARI Montage Google Chrome extensions. The Extension utilizes YouTube API services and by using the Extension, Users agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service that can be found at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms.

Information We Collect and How We Use It
When using the Extension, a User will be asked to authorize access to certain information about the User’s Google user account as well as interaction with Google services associated with the account such as Google Drive™, Google Docs™, and G-Suite for Education™. In order to support Sign-in with Google and other integrations, a User’s Google account information is compared with SAFARI Montage system user account information as maintained by a school’s SAFARI Montage system administrator. Additionally, when a User saves a link or file to the SAFARI Montage system, the Extension collects the URL and metadata associated with the site the User is visiting in order to save a link and/or file to the SAFARI Montage system with all complementary metadata available. Your Google username is used by the Extension to log you into your SAFARI Montage system account using your Google login credentials. Your Google account information is not stored by SAFARI Montage as a result of your use of the Extension; nor is it shared by SAFARI Montage with any third parties as a result of your use of the Extension. The Extension uses your information only as provided in this Privacy Policy. Please note that Google, Inc. is a third party and your access and use of Google services is subject to Google, Inc.’s privacy policies and practices and that SAFARI Montage is not responsible for Google, Inc.’s collection, use and sharing of your information, including, without limitation, any personal information you entrust to Google. Changes to this Privacy Policy
SAFARI Montage may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. If we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy for updates and revisions. A User’s use of the Extension will constitute acceptance, acknowledgement and agreement to the respective changes.
